Commercial Description:
Bottled, pasteurised.
Undertaking name change to 303AD during Spring '05.
A pale dry bitter, predominantly hoppy with hints of citrus and ginger. Brewed with proportions of Amber Malt, it is our only beer to use dwarf hop variety First Gold. Originally brewed to celebrate the birth of the sixth generation of the founder of the company.
303AD celebrates St George, patron saint of England. This is the year of his death.

Bottle, Now being imported by Capital Imports (Capital Brewery, Middleton, WI). Light brown sugar and hops sack aroma when cool, with more malt coming out as it warms. Bright orange/amber with a smaller head that dissipated and clings to the glass. Wow, malt and nutty flavors every where. Sweet pale malt to start, followed by a dry crystal malt, with almond, hazelnuts and even spanish peanuts. Medium body. Finish has a dry bitter hops crispness, somewhat like a german pils, but darker malt help carry it through. As this one warms, I have to ponder omhper’s thoughts and would state: for an english pale it doesn’t get a whole lot better than this.

Very Nice Beer. I liked it allot. Great flavor, smooth drinkability. If you haven't had one and by the numbers there are a bunch of you who haven't you should.

Bright golden, with a beautiful flowery/earthy hop aroma. Solid hop bitterness with a very nice bready maltiness. Finely balanced, substantially hopped for an english beer of its strength. A superb bitter.

color is a hazy copper with a nice white head. aroma reminds me of the harvest of soybeans. i really dont know how to describe it any other way. definitely a nice bitterness in the flavor, a little unusual for english pale ales.

Pale orange/amber with small head that stays and clings to glass. Hints of hop and slight bitterness. Tast of malt with a nutty finish (no pun intended;-).
