Commercial Description:
Bottle, Pasteurised, Special;
Banbury 400 marks King James I granting the Town of Banbury a charter which allowed it to govern itself. The positions of Mayor and Town Clerk were created in 1608 together with the right to have a gaol and the power to punish drunkards. The limited edition 4.7 per cent ABV beer is brewed with local barley malt and water from the Brewery’s own wells. A pale beer, it has a slightly orange hue and aromas of dark fruit and spicy flavour.

Bottled, 500ml, pasteurised, from The Coach & Horses, Banbury. Gold with white head. Dry, hoppy bitter, with a tangy , orange note. Fruity, malty body with a bitterwseet character. There is a hint of boiled tea in the finish, with a light cardboard note. Reasonable stuff.
