johndoughty (1660), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Dec 17, 2006 Bottle. Poured flat.Impressive citrus taste that adds to rather than distracts from the bitterness.Pleasant inviting aroma and a crisp refreshing taste. Pub (4102), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Sep 26, 2006 Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml. Light yellow gold with bubbly white head. Delicatle light biscuity malt base, quite dry throughout with a big sprinkling of lemony, dry, oily green hops. Long bitter finish with a good freshness. The pasteurisation is sympathetic and light. A very decent bottled beer. henrikb (1118), Aarhus, Denmark Nov 2, 2006 Clear golden body, white head, fine lacing; Very beautiful nose, a mix of rye biscuits, flowers and pine; Soft textured body, with some soft carbonation, balanced and quite bitter; Very long finish with lots of aromas that are very similar to the nose. Great beer, the best I have had from Hook Norton. RichardGretton (2678), Leicestershire, England Jan 13, 2007 Bottle. Golden beer with a strong white head. The aroma is very floral and dry, and the flavour is smoothly mildly hopped. Overall a nice smooth drinkable golden ale.
