From a 500 ml bottle this poured a dark gold with a small white and quickly dissipating head the left light lacing. Nose of caramel malts and floral hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is malty with some moderate bitterness that carries through to the finish.

Dec 26, 2009 Golden orange with a lasting, one finger white head. Light and sweet bready, biscuit malt aromas. Some good initial sweetness, bit of caramel and toastiness leading to a lingering dry grassy bitterness and a slightly floral note. Light to medium body, quite a lively mouthfeel.

Nov 17, 2009 Bottle from the brewery.Pale copper with an airy white collar. Nose hay and hazelnut with a pleasant woodsy rub of hop cone. Soft malty bitter with an affable mush of dunked biscuit, milk chocolate and honey about it. Some soap and hop in the finish, before the malts return in a long sweet caramel-accented aftertaste.

Sep 15, 2009 Pours amber into an English pint. Pancake head with good retention leaves slight sheets as it recedes. Caramel and hop aromas. Smooth caramel upfront turning thin and bitter in the lasting finish.

Aug 28, 2009 Decent lace and a lasting head. Pale amber color and reasonable clarity (slight haze)
Here’s something new: I detect something resembling play-dough. The stronger smell is bittering hop. Low dry-ish malt aroma in the background.
A thin beer, particularly for a English Bitter, although it has a proper level of carbonation. Fairly standard stuff here. Nice balance. Not as "British" tasting as some Bitters, but it holds its own.
