Cask; Regular.
The latest thoroughbred from The Hook Norton stable. Hooky Dark is a dark chestnut coloured ale. Crammed full of roast malt flavours, it is complimented with superb dry hop aromas derived from the choicest East Kent Goldings. Do not be left at the starting post with this beer.

Cask, third pint from The Hook Norton Bar at the Great British Beer Festival. Nice body with its shining, rusty brown colour. No head. Vague smell of dark fruits. Watered caramel in flavour. Thin bodied (07.08.2008).

Caslk. Low white fluffy off-white and quickly disappearing head. Cleary very dark brown body. Carmal coffee aroma. Mild coffee metallic flavor with little hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste.

Cask at GBBF 2008. A brown beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel. The aroma is roasted malty on a slightly sour finish.

(Cask at Market Porter, Southwark, London, 23 April, 2008) Dark brown colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with dried fruit (raisins and prunes). Malty, slightly roasted taste with notes of coffee and dried fruit. Dryish, rather thin body. Decent, tasty mild.

Gravity cask at the Battersea Beer Festival, 7th Feb 2008. Mid brown appearance with a malty tobacco nose. Sweet malt dominates the flavour. Palate is smooth. A decent if unspectacular mild.
