Cavie (707), Arlington, Texas, USA Jul 3, 2009 Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Golden color. Slight bit of skunk on the nose. Odor dissipates quickly and is replaced by a bitter bouquet. Tiny bit of hops upfront. Taste smooths out quickly. Decent but that’s all. Bov (5160), Bienne, Switzerland Jun 4, 2009 courtesy of Laurent Mousson (WBA) - clear and bright golden colour with a poor head retention; aroma of mais; creamy mouthfeel, medium-bodied, fizzy, low and tart bitterness; short corny and slightly fruity finish CaryTheDude (1075), Longmont, Colorado, USA May 1, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Aroma of sweet, kinda lemon aroma with lots of poop. Flavor is a little better, and it’s pretty smooth even with the poop. An above average golden, but that’s not saying too much for me. berkshirejohn (1544), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Mar 13, 2009 500ml bottle from Waitrose, Towcester. Amber with a rapidly fading loose white head; clean lemony hop aroma; light citrus flavours with over-boiled malts; and a pleasant hoppy finish. Beer2000 (1619), Kristiansand, Norway Jan 19, 2009 Bottled at Horsens Beerfestival. Pale golden with a medium white head. Fine aroma of citrus and flowers. Flavor is mild malty with refreshing citric hops. A bit thin body, but quite a thirst-quencher. jeff789 (307), Pennsylvania, USA Dec 26, 2008 Interesting beer... Very light bodied... The american hops are very assertive yet mild relative to the thinness of the body, i think due to the unexpected flavor of them... Im usually not a huge fan of beers of this style but this is a bit different in that it is an english bitter with american hops, most golden ales are irrelevent as far as im concerned... I like this better than the Old Hooky.. thornecb (1575), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Dec 10, 2008 Pours a hazy gold into an English pint. Bright white head recedes to skim surface. Marshmallow and yeast aromas. Upfront lively and slick tangerine with a lasting astringent hop finish. bhensonb (3757), Woodland, California, USA Aug 23, 2008 Bottle from John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR. Lightly hazy peachy gold color with a decent white head. Aroma is sort of peach fruit over light malt. Flavor suggests peach. Body is near medium over slight carbonation. There’s a green tea note. As time passes it’s still peach to me, but the bitter builds. Each sip has a great nose and a marvelous taste. It is somewhat spicey. Spiced peach. Love that.
