Commercial Description:
Bottled; Pasteurised.
Pale, delicately fruity and refreshing. Hooky Gold is a beer which marries English tradition with American pizzazz. It is the first of our beers to use an American hop variety, Willamette, grown in Oregon, and having moderate bitterness with a spicy, noble hop aroma.

It is warm golden with a white, creamy head. The aroma is mild with notes of malt, fruit (light melon and peach) and light flower. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of malt, fruit (melon) and citrus and the finish is dry and slightly bitter. It is a very mild and uncomplicated beer, easy to drink.

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Golden color. Slight bit of skunk on the nose. Odor dissipates quickly and is replaced by a bitter bouquet. Tiny bit of hops upfront. Taste smooths out quickly. Decent but that’s all.

courtesy of Laurent Mousson (WBA) - clear and bright golden colour with a poor head retention; aroma of mais; creamy mouthfeel, medium-bodied, fizzy, low and tart bitterness; short corny and slightly fruity finish

Crushed with Jakebra. Aroma of sweet, kinda lemon aroma with lots of poop. Flavor is a little better, and it’s pretty smooth even with the poop. An above average golden, but that’s not saying too much for me.

500ml bottle from Waitrose, Towcester. Amber with a rapidly fading loose white head; clean lemony hop aroma; light citrus flavours with over-boiled malts; and a pleasant hoppy finish.

Bottled at Horsens Beerfestival. Pale golden with a medium white head. Fine aroma of citrus and flowers. Flavor is mild malty with refreshing citric hops. A bit thin body, but quite a thirst-quencher.
