Golden, small head. Has a fruity aroma, and fruit is there in the flavor as well. Sweetish and a little dry. HenrikSoegaard (4260), Randers, Denmark Feb 11, 2006 Bottle. William (181), Utrecht, Netherlands Feb 5, 2006 Nice tasting pint with a creamy, thick head. Tasted some liquorice as well as toffee. Pretty bitter aftertaste. johninmelb (688), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Feb 4, 2006 Deep spicy malt nose. Light amber in the glass with a thinish head. Bitter and thirst quenching at first and rounds out to a slightly sour maltiness. not bad, but not amazing. scotty (828), Scotland Jan 31, 2006 A good robust brew, not too disimilar to the cask version if my memory serves correct! Lovely fruity/malty palate, with a good finish.Guest ale,Morrison,£1.59. chriso (4665), London, Greater London, England Nov 28, 2005 500ml bottle. No major complaints here, despite being pasteurised. Bright copper/amber colour with a thin white head. Surprisingly hoppy aroma - slightly resinous and flowery - with caramel and plummy fruit. Flavour falls away a bit, concetrating on fruity malt, decoming dry and reasonably bitter on the finish. Solid but unexciting. The cask is better.
Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 23, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Very pretty, clear amber with a dense, lasting head. Lovely fresh floral aroma. Rather light with some nutty notes. Not overly bitter - the hops add mostly aroma. Very classical bitter. 060601
