Deep copper, pretty bright, off-white head. Toffee, golding fruit notes and subtle esters on the nose. Solid through the mouth - nice toasty crystal flavour, quite fresh - with a good medium bitterness in the end and some more caramel notes on the palate. Good, well-travelled and very very English. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Pours a nice clear ruby/brown color with a bit of a white head. A little malt on the nose, but not much. A little bitter on the first taste, but smooths right out although it’s a little bitter on the back end as well. Not bad, not great. Pretty decent ESB.
