Commercial Description:
Bottled. Pasteurised.
A well balanced and full bodied beer demonstrating fruitiness, with the Crystal Malt content being distinctive. The hoppy mouth gives way to a sweeter finish.

Hard to fault. Beautiful reddy head with a spicy head. Spice and plummy with a nice balanced depth and grip. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with white head. Sweet malt aroma. Treacle toffee malt flavour with citrus bitterness. Refreshing mouthfeel with long bitter finish. A very good beer.

Deep spicy malt nose. Light amber in the glass with a thinish head. Bitter and thirst quenching at first and rounds out to a slightly sour maltiness. not bad, but not amazing.

The commercial description pretty much reflects it all, except for the full bodied bit. The aroma has some ester fruitiness and toffee malt, and the hops are more evident on tasting. The flavour is quite well balanced making it a good candidate for a sessional beer. A little on the gassy side, but has a nice and reasonably long lasting aftertaste. Quite enjoyable.

From Libations. Poured out a rocky white head above a body of clear copper; appearance was the best thing about this beer. Aroma was faint, maybe some malt? Taste was okay and just okay, thankfully not overly sweet. Finished a little less sweet and mouth was decent. A ho-hum beer.

Appealing, reddish-brown color with an off-white head. Fruity aroma -- maybe rasberry? The taste is a nice mixture of hops and juicy malts, with more fruity notes. A very nice bitter.
