| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 25, 2008 Bottle@Home. Metallic aroma, light fruity and some herbs as well. Amber color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, light bitter, herbal, some caramel, malty, light sticky. Not badly brewed but I didn’t fancy the aroma and it’s too sweet to be refreshing. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 28, 2005 500ml bottle. No major complaints here, despite being pasteurised. Bright copper/amber colour with a thin white head. Surprisingly hoppy aroma - slightly resinous and flowery - with caramel and plummy fruit. Flavour falls away a bit, concetrating on fruity malt, decoming dry and reasonably bitter on the finish. Solid but unexciting. The cask is better.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 11, 2008 Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate sweet malty aroma. Medium body with a dry bitter texture. Medium bittersweet flavor with a smooth toasted bitter finish of average duration. Solid drinkable brew. maeib (4766), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2007 Bottled. A dark brown/ruby coloured beer with a fast disappearing off-white coloured head. The aroma is fruity and malty. Alcohol notes come through together with raisins. The taste is fruity and malty also. Very smooth and mellow, tasting stronger than it is. Nice. leaparsons (4751), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 10, 2005 Bottle. Amber with an off-white head. Aromas are sweet and fruity with bready yeast and hints of toffee with nice floral hops. Flavours are sweet toffee and caramel malts, some berry fruit followed by an addictive but not pronounced hopping. Good for a pasteurised bottled beer. HenrikSoegaard (4395), Randers, Denmark

Nice amber color with a multifinger beige head. Aromas of lightly roasted caramel and fruity/floral hop. Medium+ body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is roasted caramel and fruit - a bit tart like green apple. Somewhat nutty. Finishes quite dry. Leaves a spicy feeling on the tongue. Gotta love it.
