Pretty standard to good biter - a touch malty and some fruits, lacking a bit of hops.

Cask handpull at the brewery and The Reindeer, Banbury. Clear chestnut with a level cream collar draping with lace. Fresh, malt-driven bitter replete with biscuit, honey, vanilla and Ovaltine goodness; some fairly heady autumnal and hedgerow fruit bobbing about- pear and blackberry as well as the signature apple. Bittering walnut hints. Good.

Cask @ some bar, London. Amber colour, off-white head. The brew has caramel, and toffee, and some spices, maybe cinnamon? Not my taste.

Cask. Charlies Pub. Copenhagen. Amber colour with an off-white head. Grain, caramel (crystal malt), fruitiness, butterscotch, light roastiness, light coffee, bread, english hops. Malty, but balanced by a fair amount of hop bitterness. Very tasty in my book.

In the Great Western Pub in Blockley. Of course hardly any carbonation, smooth, golden color, no head, and only a little lacing. It had just a hint of bitters at the finish.

Cask @ Charlies, Cph.
Pours deep amber with a small, frothy, off-white film head. Sweet malty aroma, caramel and notes of ginger. Low carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, some toffee, caramel and soft, dryish hops. Okay.
