Nov 17, 2009 Cask handpull at the brewery and The Reindeer, Banbury. Clear chestnut with a level cream collar draping with lace. Fresh, malt-driven bitter replete with biscuit, honey, vanilla and Ovaltine goodness; some fairly heady autumnal and hedgerow fruit bobbing about- pear and blackberry as well as the signature apple. Bittering walnut hints. Good.

Apr 26, 2009 Cask. Charlies Pub. Copenhagen. Amber colour with an off-white head. Grain, caramel (crystal malt), fruitiness, butterscotch, light roastiness, light coffee, bread, english hops. Malty, but balanced by a fair amount of hop bitterness. Very tasty in my book.

Apr 17, 2009 In the Great Western Pub in Blockley. Of course hardly any carbonation, smooth, golden color, no head, and only a little lacing. It had just a hint of bitters at the finish.

Pours deep amber with a small, frothy, off-white film head. Sweet malty aroma, caramel and notes of ginger. Low carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, some toffee, caramel and soft, dryish hops. Okay.
