Borresteijn (584), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 13, 2008 On tap @ in de Wildeman, a while ago. Expected a bitter hoppy beer, turned out to be some sort of Witbier. Hazy yellow orange, white head. Aroma of citrus, wheat, some caramel. Flavour is wheat, some caramel. Dry mouthfeel. altonbrownd (999), Amsterdam, Netherlands Jan 5, 2008 On tap at Arendsnest. Orange creamy colour. Citrus nose. Taste of orange, citrus and other fruits. Some caramel. Strong-bodied. Decent. skortila (2433), Bunnik, Netherlands Aug 14, 2007 Tap @ In de Wildeman. Aroma has wheat, nuts and some caramel malts. Cloudy, yellow coloured with a lasting, white head. Taste is slightly sweet, a bit bitter.Lots of wheat, some nutty caramel malt in it. Fresh palate. Medium bodied. Nice stuff. caesar (2573), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Aug 14, 2007 Very difficult to place this beer in a category. It looks like a darker hefeweizen with its cloudy nutbrown appearance. But aroma does not contain any banana, but more wheat, grain, bit nutty, some caramel. The taste is very much wheat, but not quite sweet, more bitter. Thick body, like in a hefeweizen. It’s something in between a hefeweizen, a dunkelweizen and a specialty grain, and then a little belgian touch added to it. Not bad though.
