Pale straw, loose head. Slightly dusty, and sharp, almost sour, fruity hoppy aroma. Refreshing body, low carbonation. Sticky resiny hops, but also a bit sacchariny. Solid blond, flavoursome but light, nothing special. taunusmies (230), Finland Jul 10, 2008 (Real ale) Pours hazy, light yellow/orangish colour with a small, quickly vanishing head. Hoppy aroma, slightly bitter. Notes of citrus, grass and spices. The taste becomes more rich and balanced when the beer warms up a little bit. Light body, a bit watery maybe. duff (5405), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jul 17, 2003 Some aromatic citrusy hops, aswell a some sulfur, boiled egg, nuffield got it right with the hair salon smell. Didn't really want to go much further after smelling it, but did. Thin, watery palate, grainy malts, citric hops, short, lightly bitter finish, simple (Cask- ChelmsfordBF 03'). Nuffield (2538), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Jul 16, 2003 Light yellow, irregular white head, no carbonation visible in body. Aroma of hops producing smells of body odor and the chemical smell of the shampoo and "permanents" set in ladies' hair salons like I went to with my mom as a kid. Not innately bad aromas, but unpleasant associations. Generally a competently brewed beer, though unremarkable. (gravity pour at 2003 Chelmsford Beer Festival)
