| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 20, 2009 orange with a thin off white head, lacy. belgian yeasty nose. fruity flavor slight bit of hops in the end. medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel, mildly bitter finish. not very true to the style. even the hopcat bartender could not explain the belgian yeast character in there. perhaps some kind of yeast mutation. i added an extra point to the rating due to the ’invasion of the body snatchers’ aspect of yeast mutation taking over the beer. on tap at HopCat.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Sample at hopcat... Pours a slightly hazy pale orange with a thin milky white head... Aroma of sweet citrusy hops... spicy citrus and piney hop flavor with a dry finish.
Then we have the Belgian hop which was darker than the standard. A lot more subtle in flavor and a lot more earthy in nature with a semi-bitter finish 7/3/6/3/13 danielcurtis81 (909), San Diego, California, USA

On tap at HopCat. Appearance is pale gold. Nice malt to this guy with a light dose of hops. The hop bitterness slowly builds on the tongue.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 26, 2009 On tap at the bar. Cloudy orange with small white head. Aroma is a nice citrus with with pine hops, dry caramel as well. Flavor is nice resiny pine and citrus hops, a good amount of medium sweet caramel to balance it out but a drying finish. Medium, well carbonated body. Really nice, this reminds me of a hoppier version of founders centential ipa. Tmoney99 (4783), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured a hazy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate earthy and citrus hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectations where met with a better beer for each of this houses beers I try. Sammy (4051), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Very hoppy IPA, mild hop aroma. Lacey, amber body. Not bad, new at the pub, now a brewpub. BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 3, 2009 MiBG Summer Fest 2009, Saturday session: Deep coppery hue with a very good frothy head. The aroma has notes of resiny and slightly citric esters, pepper and clove, biscuity and crystal malts, and a bit of salty vapours. The taste is bitter and piney with a healthy amount of fruity overtones of grapefruit, mango and peach. A minor pale malt and caramel background before the hop spice finish. The mouth feel is sharp and aggressive with a just a hint of alcohol but still quite drinkable. A solid entry into the IPA genre for HopCat and far better than the Hey Hey Hey IPA I had at the Winter Fest.
