Commercial Description:

Creamy caramel banana flavor. Light, refreshing, comforting mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden brown amber with a thin white head. Caramel, candied bananas, bread. Thin and a bit empty. Cardboard, dry yeast. Overall just very lacking.

Bottled. Very cloudy yellow-brown pour. A little bit of head. Bubblegum and banana notes are pretty much all that are going on, very sweet, dull, and one-dimensional. The body falls flat, completely lifeless, with the same junky sweetness. Not a good hefe at all.

Sampled at A Mead, Cider, & Beer Tasting at Binny’s Beverage Depot, Glen Ellyn, Il. Poured to a wine glass/sampler a hazy, orangy gold with a modest white foamy head that reduced to film and a small ring. The aroma was soft grain, light fruit, banana, and a touch of citrusy tartness. The flavor followed these with light malt and spice as cinnamon. Good carbonation, bright and refreshing

500ml bottle. Pours a cloudy glowing but duller orange tea color with a medium tall very dense white foam 3.5. Aroma is quite fragrant, full ripe bananas and fall gourds, nostril coating, wonderfully spiced, creamy with a nice edge 7.5. First taste is very sweet ripe metallic banana, followed by rich caramel before settling with softer doughy green banana and clove 7.5. Long yeasty aftertaste. A bit citric. Medium bodied with ubiquitous tightly packed very fine fizzy carbonation, a tingly fluffy sandpaper sensation, dry feeling mouthful. A nice change for fall.

Banana and clove, yeasty and very spicy. Pours cloudy golden orange. Loads of banana with hints of clove, a little watery. I prefer the regular Hopf.

Bottle 50 cl. Slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of banana and lightly acidic citrus. Medium body, fairly tart with yeast and phenols. 040409
