A hazy dark amber weizen with a thin off white head. A rather intense sweet berry aroma, cranberry, buttery and cloying. In mouth, an intense oily banana bread, light lactic notes, a bit thin and simple. On tap at brewpub, August 16 2009.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a murky dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a wheat malty spicy yeasty aroma with some hints of clove. Sweetish wheat malty spicy flavor with some yeasty hints. Has a sweetish wheat malty spicy finish.

On tap at Hopmonk. Murky brown with a two finger eggshell head that lasted the duration of the glass. Aroma was full of ripe bananas and buttery notes, which made the bananas seem even sweeter. Light spicy clove and lemon finished up the aroma. Flavor added some sweet caramel notes, and again, plenty of buttery bananas to go around. Minimal bitterness noted. Medium body with light carbonation. Not too bad, but nothing amazing, either.

On-tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy burnt orange with a fluffy white head, good lace. Smells bready, yeasty, and sweet, not too dark. Tastes yeasty and bready malty sweet, again doesn’t taste as dark as it looks. Medium/full body, vibrant carbonation at first that fades relatively quickly.
