Bottle from Bierkoning. Deep dark body with thinnest of brown heads. Luscious nose of oats and dark chocolate. Quite syrupy and full-bodied. Taste of oats, chocolate, malts. Very thorough and enjoyable. Delectable vanilla lining on the end. Simply fantastic.

Another winner. The darkness of the beer gives a strong aroma. coffee and slightly fruity, almost like raspberry like. palate is thin with a touch of oil. the taste is dark flavor of cocoa and coffee stout with a mild hint of oatmeal. A winner, awesome.

Bottle from DuffmanSW who received in trade from FlssmrBrewAlum. Poured dark black and thick with tiny brown head. Aroma of chocolate, whiskey, coffee, and some mild coconut. Tasted like chocolate cake with bourbon frosting. Very smooth and thick but low carbonation. Very tasty. Thanks for sharing.

My thanks to Skyview for sharing this beer. Black, and thick. Low carbonation. Only a little whiskey in the aroma. Lots of heavily roasted malt in the flavor, but complex also with appropriate whiskey, including vanilla and oak. Surprisingly red wine and tannins. Ordinarily I wouldn’t be into a beer like this, but it is so well done that I really like it.

A lot of bourbon on the nose. Lots of sweet vanilla, sweet chocolate, mocha, dark fruit. Just well done nose with lots of barrely sweetness. Black as fuck. No head, hella viscous, looking good. Chocolatey sweetness, dark fruit, barrel notes - vanilla, alcohol sugars - roasted notes are there in the finish. Lots of lingering sugars. Some dry woody notes. This is an awesome sit and sipper. Full bodied, lighter carbonation. Really good.

22. thank you so much, suzy g! pours jet black with a scant but dense and creamy dark tan head. big sweet chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, and roast nose. thick creamy body, a little oily but not sticky. all the aromatics come back for the mid palate. wonderfully complex and drinkable. a little hot vodka twang or the numbers would climb even higher here.
