Fresh bomber. The pour yields a clear, dark orange-amber colored body with a tiny, off-white film on the surface. Sticky rings of tattered lace mark the glass. The nose explodes with hops, notes of grapefruit and orange peel showing bright and bitter, with floral compliments and a massive, sweet toffee malt base. Fruity depth emerges with hints of papaya and peach, while the Belgian yeast offers a bready overtone. Flavors are equally complex, showing a nice balance of fresh toffee, bitter wildflowers, citrus rind, and bready yeast all coming together nicely. Hops linger well after the finish. The palate is big and initially sticky, drying out a bit from the Belgian yeast, with balanced carbonation. Good stuff. I don’t normally go crazy for this style, but Hoppin Frog did it right.

22oz bottle sampled at the DC local tasting. Pours a clear yellow gold with a lacing white head. Aroma of C hops (Columbus, Cascade) with some sugary Belgian-ness. Flavor is sweet, fruity, tropical fruits, candy sweetness, grapefruit. Almost like a liquid lollipop. Too sweet and too fruity. Imbalanced.

bomber... pours a light golden with a 2 finger white head which quickly falls to a thin lacing... very nice aromas - Belgian yeast, banana, citrus and spice... not your typical American hop forward IIPAs... medium body with a nice balance between hop bitterness and Belgian qualities. sweet sugar, spices, more yeast and light citrus notes dominate the palate. It finishes with more bitterness along with a sign of sweetness. I really enjoy Belgian style IPAs and this one was very good..... although a bit overpriced.

Received a 22-oz bomber via trade with shigadeyo. Pours a semi-hazy golden orange colored brew with a decent off-white head that has some nice lacing and great retention. Aroma of Belgian yeast, banana, a hint of citrus, cotton candy and a touch of grapefruit. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of both citrus and banana esters with some bread dough and floral hops. Finish has a nice balance of Belgian yeast and grapefruit with some lingering bitterness that slowly disappears.

Bomber. Pretty good Belgian DIPA. Pours orange slight haze and a nice soapy tacky white head. Aroma is fruity, tropical, slight mango, some citrus and grapefruit hoppiness, spice, phenolics, Belgian yeast is moderate- not too powerful, toast, and some cookie dough- malt. Flavor has some spice and phenols throughout but lots of tropical and fruity hops int he middle, dough with slight solvent as it warms, with a moderate hop bitterness in the end. Nice.

Bottle: The aroma consists banana, belgian yeastiness, apricot, and light pine. It pours a hazy golden-orange with a small soapy head. The flavor starts with some moderate fruitiness with apricot and a hint of banana. The finish is lightly citrusy with a hint of pine. There is a faint soapy aftertaste that I could do without. Medium bodied with mild carbonation.
