502Flavors (230), Kentucky, USA Jul 8, 2008 bomber into wine glass. Dark nut brown pour with a bit of an orange/red hue and a big off-white lasting and lacing head. Aroma is unbelievably juicy - dominated by sweet citrus hops. Flavor embodies a complexity of pine and citrus hops. The sweet malt compliments the hops to make the brew taste juicy (like aroma) that is really pleasing. There is very little to no alcohol presence, pretty potent general hop flavor, and a dry finish. It is medium to heavy bodied on the palate and decently coating. Overall: one of the best IIPA I have had.
HopBackDoc (337), Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 6, 2008 Poured from a 22 oz. bomber with amber hues and a firm white head. Aroma is full of hops. Flavor was powered by the bitter hops as well as some nice citrus hops, leaving a nice fruity taste. There were some caramel malts in there, too. Medium body with a lasting hop finish. blutt59 (685), Dallas, Texas, USA Sep 5, 2008 bottle, golden color, smallish head, flavor is good pines and grapefruit, doesn’t get too bitter or malty, very nice beer Magjayran (1118), Durham, North Carolina, USA Sep 1, 2008 168 IBUs?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!? Well it definitely smells hoppy. Lots of citrus in the nose with some peachiness. The flavor is peachy as well with a bit of tangerine and an amazing lasting pine tree thing that sort of dries on your tongue. Not that this is the most bitter beer I’ve ever had. It actually seems somewhat balanced and the hops remind me of some of the sweeter fruits. Good show. Defreni (482), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 29, 2008 Flaske. Bockyhorsey (1969), Mesa, Arizona, USA Aug 29, 2008 22oz bottle courtesy of Crisay. Reall good pine tree aroma. Amber oranage color body with off white head. Has a crisp bitterness cold but as it warms up citrus orange syrupy sugar sweetness subdues the bitter. Caramel malts present also. Nice sipping brew to enjoy after work with little dryness on the palate.
