Commercial Description:
Kelsays Celtic Red Ale (KCRA - which also happens to be Sacramentos local NBC affiliate) is now on tap. KCRA is an Irish beer from the Mexican everyone thinks is Italian. This is Marios first recipe, and he is quite happy with how it turned out. Basically there are some imported Crystal and Biscuit malts being used, which will provide a deep red color and a toasted caramel flavor. Nugget and Glacier hops were used in moderation for a slight bitterness and a hint of spice. Essentially this beer is similar to the Stony Face Red Ale, but with less malty flavor and a bit sweeter on the edges. The alcohol by volume is 5.2%. It is comparable to a Killians Irish Red.

Draft. Ruby-brown beer with a dark cream colored head. light malt and light caramel aroma. Toasty malt flavor with light caramel and light mineral notes. Medium bodied. Caramel, toasty malt, and light mineral lingers with some very light citrus.

Clear red color with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted caramel. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is pale fruit over roasted caramel. Finish is fairly dry. Not crisp, but refreshing.
