Commercial Description:
Is a unique, all-natural style of beer that currently falls under the category of a Specialty Ale. In other words, there is no true category for this beer... Characterized by its distinctive Mount Hood hop aroma and beautiful blonde color, Liquid Sunshine™ is brewed at a low temperature to create a nice lite dry finish. Using only the finest 2-row malted barley, wheat, rye, and great northwestern grown hops, this combination results in a clean, crisp, and uniquely refreshing beer.

Pours a cloudy banana yellow with a small foamy head. Aroma is hoppy, with notes of apricot and old coins. Oh, flavor is a lot more hoppy than expected. Bitter grapefruit hops, and a touch of fruity sweetness in the finsih. Mouthfeel is oily, dull. Could’ve been a bit more spritzy. Not a bad blonde, better than expected. Overall, good minus.

Chris, I really owe you one! Big hazey foamy pour. Has a rocky undiminishing head. Very fine appealing streams of sparkling carbonation are clearly visible. Hazy to a small extent. Fresh beer aroma. Tingly hoppy bitter bite. An enjoyably experience considering the hops. An friendly brew. Still like-able even near the middle of the session. Towards end, gets a little bitter on the back of my throat. A ringing beer personality!

Bottle thanks to bhensonb: Pours a hazy golden with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly grainy pale malt and some fresh grassy English hop character. Body starts with good fullness for the style and a hint of sweetness but mostly dry, pale maltiness and earthy bitter hop bite before a crisp, finish with some lingering grassy bitterness. Pretty well balanced, true to style and very drinkable.

Pours deep gold with 1-finger uniform white head, and nice concentric lace rings that cling to the glass for a very long time. Nose is pale malt, some hops. Tastes spicy hoppy, crisp, bitter, very Pilsy. This one reminds of a 50/50 mixture of Victory Prima and Hop Devil, but with slightly less flavor and balance. With minor tweaking, this recipe could become either a great pils or a great IPA.

~Light, clear, golden color with small white head. ~Light hop and malt scent. ~Crisp grapefruity hop flavor. Mellow ~Light feel, clean finish. ~I like this beer! Reminds me of a weak version of a Californian IPA.

Pours a cloudy pale yellow with big white lasting head. Aroma is quite hoppy, floral. Flavor is unexpectedly harsh, I didn’t realize there was rye and wheat in this beer. Grains give a sort of grittiness to the beer. Light and refreshing.

This is kind of interesting and has some good qualities but for me too unbalanced and too lacking in flavour for the bitterness. It is bright golden with a big white head that steadily shrinks to a permanent medium head and leaves some decent lace. It looks good, like a good-quality pale lager. It also smells rather like a good lager, mostly like a good, hoppier helles or a bit like a German pilsner. The taste, though, leans more to a recognizably American golden ale style but still crossed with a more bitter German pilsner. It has a crisp honey-grain malt quality clearly dominated with grassy-citrusy hop bitterness with a hint of herbal hops, mostly lemon and grapefruit. It has a bitter, lighty grassy-citrusy finish. Unfortunately, the flavours are very light for the bitterness and, the weakest point, the finish is brief and bitter while leaving almost no after taste except bitterness with light grass-citrus pulp elements. It is, however, exceedingly clean and crisp, with nothing at all off. This, combined with the German pilsner quality, makes me really want to like this beer, but in the end, it is far too unbalanced, with far too m,uch bitterness for the flavour and with a disappointingly bland, bitter, brief finish. With less bitterness or more flavour, it could be a really good beer.

Sampled at the Savor DC event. Light colored, yellow white body with a creamy white head. Aroma is spicy with a fair amount of coriander and wheat. Wheaty, malt flavor with a touch of the same spice. Clean, slightly watery finish.
