Dec 16, 2007 Bottled at Kennedy’s San Francisco. Cloudy golden, firm head. Aroma of vanillaand orange. Sweet with clean wheat malt character. Quite hoppy with notes of buckwheat and orange. Surprisingly hoppy with a bitterness that seem unbalanced and almost inky.

Nov 19, 2004 Almost a decade ago, this beer was available in DC (at least at the Brickskeller), and I remember liking it, so I was delighted to come across it again, to see where my perceptions have taken me. Lightly hazed straw body topped by big white head. Aroma is medium sweet, lemon, grassy, grapefruit, light rye. Taste is mild sweet, grapefruit, grassy, some lemon tartness. Medium body, fairly dry finish. Quite bitter for the style, and fairly unbalanced. Still, as often is the case, sometimes that is a good thing.
