Feb 17, 2006 Very light, lemony - well, sunny - beer. Lots of fleshy lemony and grapefruit notes. Soft varied slightly sweet maltiness with the wheat evident, not sure about the rye. Just a very enjoyable beer that I could drink often.

Feb 8, 2005 Updated: Jan 12, 2008Very underated beer. Tasted at the brewery, great citrus aroma and balance. Drinkable, yet flavorful. Too hoppy for a blonde, not hoppy enough for an IPA and too pale for a pale ale...forget style. This is my favorire Sacramento beer in the summertime.

May 25, 2005 Pours a very pale white yellow color. Medium sized somewhat rocky white head. Slightly sweet malt flavors complemented by a muted citrus hop tone. Subtle grainy and sweet malt flavors meld with a grassy and slightly fruity hop characteristics. Finishes with a nice crisp bitterness and a lingering astringency. Mouthfeel is light and crisp.

Jul 24, 2009 22 fl oz bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is lemonish and citrusy fruity. Dry hops fruity and crisp bitter. Dry fruity and lingering mango and grapefruity flavoured into the far finish.

May 6, 2007 22 ounce bomber purchased from the Davis Food Co-Op on advice from grant. Aroma is a little lemony and citric with some sweet sugars lightly apparent as well. I get a nice biscuity aroma, too. Some light earthy herbal hops are also in there, too. Very mildly hazy light yelow colored body with a frothy-ish white head that is pretty long-lasting. Light citrus flavors to start, with a grainy, cereal-like malty middle. Nice, dry, herbal bitter hops to seal the deal in the end. They taste kind of noble and this seems more like a Pilsener than a Golden/Blonde Ale to me. Quite refreshing. This is definitely a Pils. Kind of an American version of Pilsner Urquell; and that’s definitely not a bad thing.

Aug 3, 2006 22oz bomber pours golden sparkling with a tall white fluffy head that stays quite well and laces some. Nice aroma of sweet bready malts blended with some lemon and floral hops. Flavor is mostly bready as well with yeast, some lemon, and floral notes finish it off with a nice dry end. Crisp and very clean on the palate. Quite refreshing and probably one of the better beers of this style I’ve got to try. Very nice..

Aug 4, 2006 Bottled. The body was light gold with a white colored head. The aroma was oranges with some ginger bread. There was also a bit of black pepper. The taste was bread crust with some grapefruit and corriander type spice. The body was smooth and light. I like this one.
