Commercial Description:
Super Hoppy is finally back!!! Super Hoppy Pale Ale is now on tap!!! According to the brew crew, this year's version features a hop variety "Simcoe" that is similar to the Columbus hop with a high alpha acid, and yet has a distinctive citrusy aroma - think Cascade on steroids. Also starring in the hop lineup are some Goldings, Fuggles, Marynka, and Nugget. A blend of Caramel Malts tries valiantly to give this beer some balance, but it is doomed from the start just to be a highly "over-the-top" hopped brew - a true hopheads nirvana.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy amber with a beige head. Smells malty and quite hoppy. Near full body. Losts of floral, but more grapefruit, hop. Seems a hint of mango. Finishes bitter. Hoppy amber? Malty IPA? Pretty good.

Tap. Wow, very hoppy! Smell was rather floral and rich. Body was has a cloudy copper color, and came to the table with a nice off-white head. Very bitter and dry finish, much more bitter than I expected. I don’t know how popular this beer is, but I think the menu needs to compliment something this heavily hopped.

amber pour thick tan head w/ nice lace. Odd aroma lightly spiced some fuggle notes. Palate is dry and oily. Flavor is a very resinous dry pine. Not very good.

Draft. Rich amber beer with an off-white head. Slight grapefruit/grass/earth hop aroma. Muddled hop flavor - grapefruit, pine, grass, earthiness. Fairly dry with lingering piney/earthy bitterness. Lots of hop flavor, just muddled with a combination of PNW and British hops.
