harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Aug 6, 2006 I would have taken this as more of a blonde style ale than a wheat. Does not have any of the slightest wheaty notes, more biscuity in maltiness, with some light but bittersweet fruit.
Immy (1559), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Jun 21, 2008 On tap at the Newington, CT. brewpub, listed as Hang 10 Honey Wheat. Clear gold, slight white head. Lots of honey in the nose and flavor, some fruitiness. Not bad. Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 27, 2008 Hang Ten Honey Wheat @ Hops Miami Straw colour. Very honeyish aroma with light tropical fruit. Sweet, honeyish taste. Comes across balanced despite being really one-dimensional. Beershine (1214), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 10, 2008 Draught at Hops Miami, billed as Hang Ten Honey Wheat. Hardly any color, so pale I confused it with a glass of water. Nothing offensive in the nose but nothing is there to begin with. Again with the water. More watery than water, unbelievable. Flavors are actually clean with some malt apparent but that is about it. Shockingly bland. hopscotch (4478), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jul 25, 2007 Draft... West Palm Beach location... Mostly clear, piss-yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. Grainy, citric aroma with a twist of lemon peel. Perfectly balanced, dry, grainy flavor with just a touch of diacetyl (hardly worth mentioning, but oops, I did). Restrained, lemony citric acid. Light to medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, tangy finish.
