Cask @ Hopyard Pleasanton poured a hazy copper with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of BIG pine, carmel, grapefruit rind and a hint of orange. Palate was medium to full bodied smooth and dry. Flavors of carmel, pine, orange, grapefruit rind and a hint of apricot with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Sampled on cask at Naja’s on 11/30/06: Pours a clear dark copper with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of subtle, fresh piny hops and a toasty caramel maltiness. Smooth, sweet malty and fresh bittering hoppy balanced body. A drinkable, pretty decent red ale.

Cask @ Najas: Slightly hazy reddish copper with minimal head. The aroma had an earthy hop smell and some buttery notes. Malty aroma underneath. The flavor was malty and nutty with a long dry mildly bitter finish.
