Aromas of BIG pine,carmel, grapefruit rind and a hint of orange. Palate was medium to full bodied smooth and dry. Flavors of carmel, pine, orange, grapefruit rind and a hint of apricot with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish. Aroma of subtle, fresh piny hops and a toasty caramel maltiness. Smooth, sweet malty and fresh bittering hoppy balanced body. A drinkable, pretty decent red ale. goldtwins (4079), Nesconset, New York, USA Dec 27, 2006 Cask @ Najas: Slightly hazy reddish copper with minimal head. The aroma had an earthy hop smell and some buttery notes. Malty aroma underneath. orange little red with a lot of head. smells extremely hoppy & floral. bit of wood in it. sippin on this: has a lot of cedar. lot of cedarwood. very little carbonation. tart. has some cranberry in it. and it has lots of floral hops.
