Commercial Description:
"What can I say, this beauty weighs in at 9.5% abv and above (depending how I feel when I brew it). Though it's monster aromatics and hoppy bitterness are its predominant characters, the rich caramel malting balances the complex profile of this brew. Available in draft only, both in co2 and nitrogen....a whole keg of whoop ass!"

NITRO!? = my first reaction. Really? Strange. a IIPA on nitro? Wait. Really? Weird. Ok, well - the aroma was completely unique and also a bit odd on this one. Dominated by barley, grassy earth, and some sort of rodent food? I know, I know. Not sure how else to describe it. (My memory was a big hazy at this point, though). Def on the thick and sweet side...im sure it would be a different beast on co2 pour. Not bad.

The aroma on this one is mostly sweet caramel candy malt with the ever so slightest hoppy notes. Overwhelmingly sweet for an IPA really with the hops only peaking through on the backend. Not my favorite for the style of beer. I would love to try this again though...

On tap at Hamiltons. Amber color. 1 finger head. Very malty aroma and taste for and IPA. An excellent IPA! The grapefuit is there in the bitterness, but pleasant. On the sweeter side, but mild with a dry finish. Alchohol well hidden. Very very drinkable. Again excellent!

On tap at Stone. Clear golden amber with a creamy white head. Grapefruit, orange, and lemon aroma. Silky mouthfeel. Good orange and vanilla taste with an herbal bitterness.

I love all kinds of beers, especially at different times of the year but I always love the hops! This is the best Imperial IPA that i have tried yet. I had it at the GABF last year. Great combination of floral aromas and sweet,fruity/ dry, bitterness in the hops. GOOD SH@T!!!
