Ok, well - the aroma was completely unique and also a bit odd on this one. Dominated by barley, grassy earth, and some sort of rodent food? I know, I know. Not sure how else to describe it. (My memory was a big hazy at this point, though). Def on the thick and sweet side...im sure it would be a different beast on co2 pour. Not bad. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Overwhelmingly sweet for an IPA really with the hops only peaking through on the backend. Not my favorite for the style of beer. I would love to try this again though... wetherel (1641), Encinitas, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 16, 2007 On tap at Hamiltons. Amber color. 1 finger head. Very malty aroma and taste for and IPA. An excellent IPA! The grapefuit is there in the bitterness, but pleasant. On the sweeter side, but mild with a dry finish. Alchohol well hidden. Very very drinkable. Again excellent! badlizard (2373), Berkeley, California, USA

This is the best Imperial IPA that i have tried yet. I had it at the GABF last year. Great combination of floral aromas and sweet,fruity/ dry, bitterness in the hops. GOOD SH@T!!!
