Oct 17, 2004 Golden orange color with a large, frothy white head. Nice honey, floral and apple hops aroma. Very crisp grapefruit, honey, apple hops and honey flavors. Thick feel with a dry finish.

Oct 17, 2004 Hazy/cloudy deep orange color with a bulbous thick off-white head. The aroma was a little too sharp...floral/citrus/sour apple hops tones dominatec. The flavor was full of citrusy goodness...a slightlysweet bready character helped round things out. The feel was rather thick, creamy, with a dry finish.

Oct 10, 2004 Very floral aroma with the hops, very sweet. Aroma is very pleasant and not overwhelming. Bubbly disspating head to compliment the light orange/red coloration. Nice quick smooth hop bite to it, almost a touch of vanilla, and oranges. Overall a pretty good IPA. I need to take up to Pleasanton.

Sep 25, 2004 This IPA pours with a golden-orange body topped by a medium thick, creamy head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is sweet, grapefruity and hoppy with a slight bitterness and a little apricot. The flavor is sweet yet slightly bitter and grapefruity with a touch of apricot and a slightly bitter finish. Medium bodied, creamy smooth and slightly dry.

Classic clear copper color under an ample head that gave off a fragrant aroma of citrusy hops.
The flavor is a well balanced affair between the malt and hops that trails off in pleasant bitterness. Well done IPA.

Sep 19, 2004 A pine filled hoppy aroma. The appearance is a dark orange color with decent lacing. A little thin on the palate but it still has a nice orange and grapefruit bite. A good effort!

Sep 4, 2004 Pours a deep copper color with thick, dense head. Aroma is great- nice potent fresh citrus and a bit of pine. I was a bit disappointed though, the flavor wasn’t all that I was expecting. The hops were definitely there but the body was a bit a bit thin and the aftertaste was a bit gritty. I think this is because there wasn’t enough malt to back the hops. This beer has so much potential but ends up being mediocre.

Aug 29, 2004 pours a bright gold/amber (I left the yeast at the bottom of th bottle). nose is citric/pine at the start, with the butterscotch-like smell of diacetyl right behind it. flavor is initially hoppy, but again the butterscotch comes through and muddies it up. beer drink rather thick, due to the diacetyl flavor that gets heavier as the beer warms. I presume this is an off sample, and I will re-rate it if I get a chance to try it again.
