Commercial Description:
HopTown IPA, our flagship beer, has a rich, malty character, an alcohol content of 6.2% and a generous helping of hops (almost two pounds per barrel!). We use Galena hops for bittering and Cascade and Centennial hops for the finish and for dry hopping.

Bottle - Orange haze colour; small but consistent white head. Grapefruit hop candyfloss aroma, nice! A dry yet somehow mouthwatering flavour with pepper-cinnamon in there too. Very enjoyable.

Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, my bottle. Hazy light orange pour, average white head. Standard citrus/light resin hop aroma, sweet malt and a hint of leafy dryness. Taste follows, perhaps a little more citrus zest and crispness, light alcohol sting in the finish. Average, moderately lively body, slightly dry and astringent, crisp finish. Nice middle of the road west coast drinkin’ IPA.

Bottle, sampled at stevo’s. Pours gold with tall sticky white head. The aroma is grapefruit, other citrus, and a touch of orange-blossom honey. The flavor is smooth hoppiness with light honeyish malts. Maybe a touch of woody bitterness in there. Refreshing.

Sampled at Stevofest. Orange, with a thin white head. Very mild aroma of hops, mostly. Nice citrusy hop pretty much dominates throughout, with just a tou of malt. Body seems a bit on the thin side, which works here. I have a weakness for this type of IPA. Yhanks to Stevo for this one!

Sampled at Stevofest 08, courtesy of Decaturstevo. Pours a hazy golden amber with white head. Aroma of butterscotch syrup and citrusy hops, which may have faded some. Medium bodied with average to prickly carbonation. There are some pale toffee and caramelized malts in the background, but the hops really dominate this one, which are citrusy with a touch of dry leafiness. Not much residual sweetness. Medium and semi-dry finish. Not bad, but I would love to try this fresh on tap.

Bottle... O-Town Throwdown Part Tres... Murky golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Earthy, piney, evergreen bark aroma with additional toffee and caramel notes. Perfectly balanced flavor offers rich, caramel sweetness and citric hop bitterness. Medium-bodied and spritzy. Lightly sweet, medium bitter, and then bone-dry finish.

Courtesy hopscotch. Bottle. Cloudy light amber pour with a thick white head. Big malty hoppy aroma. Nicely balanced malt and hops, nice easy drinking IPA. Finishes clean, tasty.

Courtesy hopscotch. Pours a cloudy orange, with a tiny white head. Smells of musky hops, with a large malt presence. Seems to be alot of orange citrus in there too. The flavor has a bunch of juicy hops, more on the fruity side as the orange really blends with it nicely. Just a nice fruity little IPA. The hops were kept in check for the most part, but very drinkable indeed.
