Commercial Description:
HopTown IPA, our flagship beer, has a rich, malty character, an alcohol content of 6.2% and a generous helping of hops (almost two pounds per barrel!). We use Galena hops for bittering and Cascade and Centennial hops for the finish and for dry hopping.

Pale amber, Modest hop aroma with tangerines and soap. Body a little too thin. Hop character is modest. Would prefer more aggression.

Clear copper color with a substantial foamy beige head. Grapefruit citrus hop nose with some buscuity notes. This is a very bitter beer, with lots of grapefruit rind and grass. There is enough malts to balance it out, but still a bitter beer. The long finish is dry and tends towards the raw grassy nop notes that I don’t perfer. Pretty standard IPA.

From a 22 oz bottle this poured a rich amber with haze, medium light yellow head, with moderate lacing. Big strong nose of floral, fruity, and piney hops, The complex aromas get this off to a great start. Mouthfeel is rich and smooth. Flavors mirror the hops, though not quite as powerful. Long bitter finish. Great IPA.

9-26-07 bottle. Nice hoppy aroma with a hint of a soapy smell. Great flavor and developed palate. Perfect match with pizza. A bit soapy in the taste as well but not drying at all. It was yummy! Orange amber color with decent long lasting head.

bomber courtesy of Saarlander, thanks Aaron. slightly hazy amber pour with a smallish head shrinking quickly to a ring of lace. not quite your typical west coast IPA, with as much malt as hops, but still very nice.

Nice rich cloudy amber pour with a large, everlasting offwhite head. Smell is big and piney, and fruity hops with a great sweetness coming through as well. Very rich aromatic smell. Body is slightly thinner than I like, but makes for it to be very drinkable. Taste is flavorful hops, perfectly sweetened by the malt, with a nice mild bitterness in the finish. Very well balanced, and resultedly extremely pleasant and easy to drink. Perhaps my new favorite IPA.

Pours cloudy amber color. Nice spicy floral aroma. Very clean crisp hoppy flavor. good bitterness to it. like Zinister said, its pretty straightforward. Pretty good, could be slightly more complex though i think. but is is clean.

Very straight-forward IPA. Right color, right nose, right flavors. Can’t go wrong with that.
