Hop aroma of “smooth” pine and a hint of sweet malt. The taste is even pine bitterness followed by some caramel malts about midway. Then at the finish the hops resurface to leave a lingering taste behind. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 23, 2006 Draft at O’Brien’s. Very nice aroma coming off this slightly hazy golden pour. Fresh hop green aromas and some vanilla too. Flavors were a bit weaker, and the moutfeel was a bit watery. Altoghether, not so bad. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 16, 2006 Please Note: I tried this on draft and I believe the keg was infected so I’m probably not rating the beer the brewer intended for me to drink. However, I loved what I had so I still want to rate it under the name on the keg.
Draft. Dark copper/ red color. Sour malty nose with some cherry notes. Sweet and malty with tart apple and cherry flavors. Seems to be infected but the end result is really quite nice! Nothing here resembles an IPA but damn this is good.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2006 Pours an amber with a nice large off-white head. Kind of chunky and soft head with some lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel and hops. Flavors of malt, hops, fruit, and caramel. A standard IPA, but still a very good example. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2006 22oz bottle poured a clear amber color with a small off white head. Aroma of resinous hops and sweet malt. Taste is big and bitter with a lot of flavor hops that linger into a slightly sweet finish. A decent IPA that is big on everything except the alcohol. Pours a light orange-brown with a long-lived head. The aroma is cookie and c-hops. The flavor follows, never letting anything other than the hops take the center stage, with a touch but never too much sweetness. The mouthfeel comes off as slightly thin, but perhaps this can be forgiven, between the superb drinkability and the smooth bitterness of the long lovely grapefruit peel finish. glkaiser (1171), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 9, 2006 Amber with a huge head...Solid bitter spicy hop aroma. Very, very balanced IPA. The malt sweetness just about overshadows the hops. Worth trying, but nothing too special. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 29, 2006 Bottle from Hi-Times Wine. Nose is piney resiny hops with a dash of syrupy malt. Has a very nice aroma. It is a good sniffing brew. And hey,it tastes just like you might expect after having your nose hanging over the edge of the glass. Hoppy with just a soft undertone of sweetness.
