Thick apricot color with a misty orange core. Fruity mango aroma. When i tasted it i proclaimed, "Dude this is hella fruity"
Initial sweetness which subsides to a spicy grapfruit. I tried it next to the DUIPA, and there wasn't too much of a difference here. just some hops and smoothness. amazing beer. GreatLibations (1444), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 1, 2007 Pours an iridescent, golden amber w/ a full, semi creamy froth. Head retention is superb. Residual lacing is complete w/ a spattred canopy and a fat ring. Aromas of strict hopsy flowers and cooked leathery malts. Full nectr w/ velvety effers. Nice balance right off the bat. Fat malts and strict hops frolic amoungst eachother like two specialized hunting dogs out for a run. Each one carrying it’s own weight to complete the journey. The hops really dig in w/ asprin fingers while the velvety malts glide over leaving trace elements of caramel, sea salt, and citrus rind. The finsh is long and highly bittered w/ the aforementioned hopsy asprin tingling the lips and tongue tip. This brew never gets sweet at all dispaying only a mild fruit component. I would have scored this brew higher if it met my 7% abv requirement. Highly recommended none the less. rmussman (905), California, USA

Very nice pour leaving a thick head with a very nice aroma with strong spices. Beer drinks very nice with a smooth flavor that is very enjoyable. Highly recommended if you can find it outside of BevMo. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 28, 2007 Nice rich cloudy amber pour with a large, everlasting offwhite head. Smell is big and piney, and fruity hops with a great sweetness coming through as well. Very rich aromatic smell. Body is slightly thinner than I like, but makes for it to be very drinkable. Taste is flavorful hops, perfectly sweetened by the malt, with a nice mild bitterness in the finish. Very well balanced, and resultedly extremely pleasant and easy to drink. Perhaps my new favorite IPA. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 16, 2006 Please Note: I tried this on draft and I believe the keg was infected so I’m probably not rating the beer the brewer intended for me to drink. However, I loved what I had so I still want to rate it under the name on the keg.
Draft. Dark copper/ red color. Sour malty nose with some cherry notes. Sweet and malty with tart apple and cherry flavors. Seems to be infected but the end result is really quite nice! Nothing here resembles an IPA but damn this is good.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 25, 2002 Features a lightly spicy, orange-citrus aroma. It is all-natural and made using two-row malts, Galena hops (for bittering), and Cascade and Centennial hops are added in a dry hopping process. I enjoyed this IPA for its lightly fruity, orange-like flavor and its dry, crisp finish. After drinking this beer, I tried Stone Brewing Company’s IPA -- slightly stronger at 6.9% ABV and dry-hopped for two weeks. Much to my surprise, I liked the HopTown IPA better than Stone’s IPA. uglybastard (101), Riverside, California, USA

Creamyhead fades down to a small layer atop a rusty-orange brew. Loads of hop spicyness with a bitter hop aftertaste. Slight fruityness runs in the background. great beer. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 22, 2005 Pourede a hazy, reddish amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of resiny pine, citrus malt, tons of C hops. Light sweetness balanced by bitter grapefruit... citrus hops, and light alcohol with a bitter dry finish. Real decent IPA here.
