Commercial Description:
Hoptown Oatmeal Breakfast Stout is not your typical oatmeal stout. Rich with chocolate and roasted barley malts, and an aggressive yeast strain, combined with loads of rolled oats creates an oatmeal stout with a creamy texture and a dry, hoppy finish. Great with or without eggs, bacon, and toast. Enjoy.

Not just for breakfast anymore. Big rich oatmeal stout with some milk stout qualities, the lactic properties come thru in the end. Roasted cocoa and espresso notes with a mild anise note. Big robust mouthfeel with no malt astringency. Nice clean finish.

Got a tiny whiff of some malt, but not much. Black and completely opaque with a thin khaki colored head. I don’t know what the deal is here but my taste buds are having a great difficulty picking up anything. Almost flavorless to me, but a small amount of bitter chocolate and oats are what little i can sense. The idea of eggs, bacon, and toast sounds very good. So, that is exactly what ima go cook and eat with this beer.

Pours fairly dark with little head, nearly opaque with crimson edges. Chocolate syrup on the nose. Flavor is velvety and oily, sweet chocolate with mild roastiness. Slight bitterness, quite smooth. A nice brew for sure. Thanks to Derek (The Fat Man Rocks) for the sample.

Great Beer...I used to live with one of the brewers. He was the best roommate in history. Drank dank beer and always brought a keg home on friday...Even one made a beer especially for me (the Pentagram Ale-a kitchen sink beer with 14+ alc.) If ya meet Robert Fevior, tell him" Animal sent me"...Anywho... Black Opaque color (black holeesque) with a mocha head. Very thick beer, viscus. Malty coco aroma, lots of chocolate (as you would expect) creamy and smooth with a very full mouth feel. FInish is Dry and crisp...WHat’s missing is it’s longevity. THe first couple of slugs are full and rich, but by the end of the bomber it’s taste flattens out and seems less special...not a chore but less special. Buy it. it’s good.

Pours a very deep dark color. Aroma is roasty with hints of toffee. Beer is very smooth, very little carbonation. Flavor is sweet and creamy. Coffee as well as some roasted malts. Not extremely roasty though. Pretty sippable little stout here.

Bottle. (Thanks argo0) Black and nothing shines through at all. Small head. Aroma is roasty and malty. Flavor is similar with coffee and chocolate. Bittersweet in finish. Multidimensional flavor, dry, sweet, and creamy. Excellent.

Black body with creamy, small tan head. Aroma is medium sweet, roasty, some chocolate, nutty. Taste is medium sweet, roasty, some chocolate, finishing with slight lactic sourness. Medium body, some creaminess.
