Commercial Description:
Hoptown Oatmeal Breakfast Stout is not your typical oatmeal stout. Rich with chocolate and roasted barley malts, and an aggressive yeast strain, combined with loads of rolled oats creates an oatmeal stout with a creamy texture and a dry, hoppy finish. Great with or without eggs, bacon, and toast. Enjoy.

22oz bottle aquired in trade. Poured a dark, deep brown (almost black) with red edges and an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of milk chocolate, roast, light vanilla, oats and very light coffee. Tastes of roast, vanilla lighter chocolate, and a light bitter coffee finish.

Pours a rich almost black color with a thin light tan head. Aroma is dry, roasty, and sweet. Nice balance and flavor profile in the body, but could've been a little sweeter and less dry. Has a lingering roasted malt finish. A decent stout, and very drinkable, but not over the top.

Ann and I opened this while camping along the Chetco river bank in SW Oregon. Poured this out with a nice fire going on the rocks, skywatching all night as we lay on the bank of the river. Oh man it was nice... the beer was quite good too, it had a musty nose of cocoa and chocolate, the oats were evident, and the flavor was a hoppy and creamy brown malts with a nice bitter baker’s chocolate. Medium "stout" texture, thick and semi-sweet in the finish.

Bottle: Double black color, rich tan head, thick lacing. Nose of lactic nugget, caramel (not the malt, the REAL stuff). Smoky and pleasent. The flavor is lightly salty and astringent but remains creamy, rich and roast. Hops don’t play much of a hand but some astringency mixes well with the molasses sweetness. Finishes creamy, lightly milky, tangy. Excellent.

Thanks to Flipbrewer for this one. Pours black, with a big tan head and lace. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, licorice, and cabernet. Tastes malty, hoppy, with a chocolate and coffee finish, and a nice roasty sweetness at the end.
