HopTown "Old Yeltsin" Russian-style Imperial Stout is a very strong dark beer. It is brewed with a combination of the finest two-row malts, water, yeast and hops. It has a rich roasty character and plenty of alcohol to warm you for the long Russian Winter. HopTown "Old Yeltsin" can be enjoyed by itself or it goes great with a variety of foods.

Black. Alcoholic aroma with tones of soy sauce and some sweetness. Oily flavour with tones of fish, roasted mal, coffee, alcohol and merengue. Sweet with long bitterness.

Bottled, thanks marbles! Pours very black. Sweet and raw with loads of alcohol. Grassy and warming with licorice loads of bitterness - a lot like Fernet Branca. Too sweet and unbalanced.

black in color, light brown fizzy diminishing head. burnt malt, coffee, and some dark chocolate nose. burnt malt flavor, malt and mild alcohol finish. soft carbonation and watery mouthfeel. faint salty aftertaste. Pleasanton winters just don’t get cold enough!

so i hear, i may get some iron maiden for this one. what better than to hear them (one of my favorite bands) and drink an imperial stout to go with it? yeah sounds good to me. this one pours out a dark brown with a thin off white colored head. smells like chocolate, toffee, and cofee. has a nice sweet smell to it as well. even smells creamy if you could imagine that. taste is a little thin, but it still has a nice flavor. roasted, malty, and yeasty. it sticks to your mouth when you drink it. this is a pretty damn good imperial stout with a nice sweetness that stays after the beer is drank. very damn good. luckily i found this one in my closet the other night

Thin and watery. Good thing the taste is pretty good. Chocolate, some sweetness, and roasted coffee and cocoa. Lingering hoppy aftertaste. A different type of good imperial stout. Not up there with the best or even a step below that.

Another Bomber from Bomber King Ernie. Nice dark brown color, small but long lived tan head that left a small amount of lace behind. The aroma was fruity and some what sweet and faintly sour.Nice malty taste a little apple like taste with a decent coffee andmaybe some bitter chocolate coming thorugh as wellNot as heavy as some brews in the style but somewhat thin in some ways but over all very drinkable and quite pleasant. Thanks for such a nice brew Flipbrewer.

Bottle at Drew-LaPalooza 2004. Small tan head and fine sized bubbles that mostly diminished. Uncarbonated, opaque and a black hue. Malt, coffee and chocolate aroma. Malt and coffee flavor. Smooth palate. Fair lacing.

This bottled brew tasted at Drew-LaPalooza 2004 poured a small head of brown colored mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body was an opaque black color with no visible carbonation. The aroma was that of dark malts and molasses. The mouth feel was smooth malty and finished with a mild coffee bite. The flavor contained notes of molasses malts and coffee.
