Smell is very subtle. Tart plum taste that bewilders you with blackberries on the tongue. Very unique - tastes like blackberry sour patch kid candy. So unique - extra points given. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

FAR from a traditional amber.
Pours a gorgeous thick hazy maroonish, earthy red color with a giant of a lasting beige meringue like head. Dark caramel/amber notes in the nose as well as some rye-like zestiness.
Taste is big and tart plum like fruit flavors at first. Then blackberries, and berry pie come to mind, but in a largely tart rather than sweet sort of way. Nice hop presence as well, and definitely unlike any amber or any style of beer that I’ve had for that matter. Worth a shot, especially if you enjoy sour beers, even if you’re not normally an amber fan. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA

Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, light roastiness, and light pine. Flavor of mild citrusy hops and toffee with a watery mouthfeel. A typical pedestrian amber. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

I actually really liked this beer. Not too strong in the hops, a little malt, and a little sweet caramel undertone. Pleasantly surprised, and will have again. badlizard (2373), Berkeley, California, USA

Great, fresh aroma of citrus hops and caramel malt. Taste was similar, and good, but had a little too much metal in the finish. Kind of like sucking on a penny in in the end. Overall, a pretty good beer.
