| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 9, 2006 Bottle (650ml) Murky reddish-brown with a decent creamy tan head. Appealing hoppy/malty aroma, rye, even a hint of chocolate - deep, and bitter - interesting. Taste - woah, this is bitter - funky and bitter, dark chocolate, a little unbalanced, somewhat harsh aftertaste - has a funky, UK hopped-feel to it. Mouthfeel is thick, bitter, astringent and nicely carbonated - interesting. nixter (11), Oakland, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 29, 2006 Nice full body, almost creamy at the front with a pleasant drying bitterness at the end. This beer is not the most consistent, and does not al;ways have the smae nuances. At its best, it has a warm, full taste with fruity flavors. great malt profile, balanced hops. I don’t think this beer should be served on nitro, and strongly prefer it on a regular CO2 tap. Uriel (144), San Jose, California, USA
