Commercial Description:
Our full-bodied red ale called Paint The Town Red. It joins our IPA as a beer that we'll always produce. It is quite hoppy (what else?) and gets its flavor from generous additions of Cascade hops and crystal malts.

Bottle poured a reddish brown with a tan head. Aromas of carmel and toffee, with a hint of citrus. Palate is full but smooth. Flavors of carmel, toffee, a hint of licorice, and some citrus with a bitter finish.

Misty bronze color, tan head, lots of lacing. Nose of nice medicinal hops, creamy, sharp and sweet with some creamy anisette notes. The flavor is richly malty with some candy cane sweetness. Light bitterness. Finishes with a tangy mouthfeel. Clean but fairly average.

Brown liquid of beer with red tint but not much. Head was a little thick and fluffy but died rather quick. Nose was a fresh floral hop allowing me to really look forward to taking a drink. Is a bland and quite flavorless beer but does give a hint to a bitter citrus hop that is so minor i might be imagining it. Perhaps a slight carmael malting occuring while being really watered down. No wonder why i always pass up the red ambers--their nothing to look forward too.

Copper/ruby body with creamy off-white head. Slightly sweet aroma but nothing to distinguish itself. Very thin and watery. Flavor was weak and watery. Probably a decent lawnmower drink.

A very Amber oriented red ale. Crystal malt forward with a touch of nutty roast. Good upfront bitterness that unfortunately does not carry thru. Good mouthfeel and clean finish. Just needs more middle and end.

A hoppy red with all the right aromas and components that somehow falls down on the finish. Not too bad but did not inspire to put high on my list.

Pours amber/brown with thin head. Aroma is floral hoppy. Flavor is quite dry with a nice hoppy bite. A bit disappointed because I was expecting a bit more flavor. Finish is a bit acidic. Nice lace. Had this one next to mohylans irish red and marin albion amber. This was easily the best of the three- but that’s not saying much.
