Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA May 1, 2009 Nice deep amber pour with a big fluffy white head. Citurs and caramel aroma with a much bigger hop flavor than I was expecting. Very flavorful, would drink again. troopie (851), USA Apr 12, 2009 Draught. Poured amber with thick white head that quickly dissipated. Some lacing. Faint malty aroma, that became more pronounced as the beer warmed. Light malty flavour with a bit of a hop finish. This ought to be served at cool room temperature to bring out its best qualities. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Sep 16, 2008 On tap at the PDX Green Dragon. Pours red/amber with a small light beige head. Fruity nose, hops and caramel malts. Overall a very hoppy alt, don’t go into this thinking big malty german style, expect more like an amber. Very nicely done beer though, balanced and floral. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 26, 2008 On tap at the brewpub in Portland, OR--Mild to deep amber body. Rich, lush creamy head. Spicily hopped, faintly caramel, fragrant brew in the same vein as Uerige Sticke. Very gritty and chewy without the cloyingness. Solid flavorful beer that keeps reminding me why I love HUB’s beers.
