unrulythings (60), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 11, 2008 quite possibly one of the best stouts that I’ve had. on tap at HUB, pours deep brown, almost black with a medium head. aroma is filled with coffee and nutty notes. flavor is full of deep coffee notes with an earthy balance. hairbender is obviously the key ingredient here. an easy but complex drinker.

Poured black with a nice, light brown head. Aroma of roasted barley-malt and coffee beans. Smooth and fluffy palate. Unique flavors that are more than just coffee and stout. Nutty, earthy nose with mild bitterness. Clean and rich with some complexities. Not too bad. blueturk (63), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Mar 26, 2008 Tap at HUB. Dark, good head, and tons of black patent in the flavor. Almost too much for me, but a nice change from a middle of the road stouts.
