Commercial Description:

20-DEC-2009, bottle @home. It pours bitch black with very high brown head. That’s a five on my appearance scale... The aroma is smokey, very smokey. Tar, chocolate, liqourice all packed in a very smooth setting - except for at very bitter hoppy ending. No alcohol...I know that is not true, but the 10% does not feel like 10%. Very well balanced. Sweetness balanced by the bitterness, alcohol balanced by creaminess. The blackness speaks for itself, but I can tell you that this woman is magic...

courtesy of Antonio Ruiz - dark black coloured with a little dark beige foam left; fair aroma of roasted malts with notes of milk coffee, ashes and licorice; sweet and full-bodied, very tasty and with a decent late bitterness; long aftertaste of black chocolate, coffee and licorice - very drinkable what could be dangerous considering the alcohol content

Draught at Ølbaren, Copenhagen
Black color; creamy head. Ordinary aroma of roasted malt and ashes. It has a quite good flavor, because the roasted malt is not too strong and there is the sweetness that I like; for me it’s well balanced; there is also chocolate flavor and caramel, and light alcohol feeling in the end.

A Mes rate. Bottle at home.
Excellent pitch black looks with an equally good tan head and plenty of lace. Aroma reminds me somewhat of the newer bottles of Pannepot. It has that same black inky character. Hugely sweet but the roasty character is just brilliant. Not much in the way of chocolate or coffee or the other usual stuff, just really smoky luscious malt with a developing late bitterness. Bloody brilliant all round.
