Very similar in appearance to apple cider/juice. Apple dominates the aroma too. This is cider. No doubt about it. A little thick on the finish for the overall body. But an ok drink. blutt59 (2167), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 1, 2008 This is my girlfriend’s favorite, so my fridge is always well stocked with Hornsby’s or other ciders. So I figured I might as well rate one. Eh? In a glass, it has an attractive bright gold to amber look, with an almost flat looking body. The aroma smells exactly like a fresh juicy green apple plucked right off Granny’s apple tree, with a bit of pear, lemony sourness and vinegar. The taste is refreshingly sour, yet sweet and succulent, again with a fully natural apple taste, as if you just bit into to that fresh plucked apple, and finishing with an apple-cider vinegar, puckering dryness. This makes the cider all the more refreshing and easy to drink. Overall, this is obviously nothing special, and it is one of the cheapest ciders available. But if you want something sweet, or you have a very picky girlfriend like me, a good old Hornsby’s should do the trick.

Finish is dry and slightly tart. Not bad for a mass produced cider. ChainGangGuy (2597), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, gold body with a small, white head.
Smell: Caramel apple candy with a hint of cheap booze. Oh boy.
Taste: Apple juice blended with a boozey, chemical taste. Vague hint of caramel. Slight tart kick on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: I has hoping for something acceptable, even passable, but this is intolerable. rustychiles (1058), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Pours a golden color with a small white head. Aroma of apples, tartness and a touch of vinegar. Flavor is apple cider, a touch of vinegar, a little sourness and a sweet applejuice finish. Okay hard cider, but not really my style. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
