Reminds me of Apple Slice soda. Rumor had it that it was discontinued by Pepsi because it was fermenting in the soda machines.A google search shows that it is still available in certain parts of the US. I haven’t seen it in nearly 20 years. I remember having one that had indeed partially fermented and it tasted like this. If you’re jonesing for the old Apple Slice, give this a try. dmtroyer (415), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

At least this one isn’t conflicted about what it is, being dextrose and fructose laden grocery store goodness. Apple perfume and honey with loads of carbonation makes for a fairly refreshing drink. Slightly disappointed in how much corn goes into this one. J. Gallo on ratebeer? scary. Wulfstan (509), California, USA

It is thin and bland, yet with too much tartness and little flavour. The flavour that is there also seems odd. It almost gives me a sore throat. WolfsBlood84 (103), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA

Aroma is almost exactly like apple juice, smells a little acidic/tartiness, and sweet. Flavor is very similar - but with carbonation and a very tiny dry aftertaste. I’ve had much better - "K" for instance - but this is less artificial and cloying than Woodchuck, I think. bhensonb (4355), Woodland, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 6, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Flowery apple aroma. Light gold color with a white head that went fast. A bit thin. Light carbonation. Starts with sweet green apple. Moves on to a "crisp", slightly tart apple. There is sweetness in the finish, and the mouth is left clean. It’s surprisingly good. A little tart not bad for a cider. mculley (1), USA does not count | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2007 I preefer the distinct apple cider flavor of this beer, over the other Hornsby products. A higher alcohol content would be preferred. Overall I really enjoy this beer.
