Poured from a bottle into pint glass. Less then a quarter inch of head that dissapated within seconds. Nice golden color cloudy enough to pique my interest. Smell was faintly sweet a bit of citrus. Yet not very appealing. Taste wasn’t bad but wasn’t good either. Maybe a touch of sweetness but no spice. Rather dry. Hardly much flavor to speak of. Mouthfeel was smooth with a bit of carbonation. Reminds me of any average lite beer. I guess I could drink a few of these. Only since it’s not overly offensive but this is a very boring average beer. Too bad this beer gets so much hype in my area. I had high hopes

12oz Bottle. Flickr(http://www.flickr.com/photos/26049401@N0 Aroma immediately yields bile-heavy vomit, wet creamed corn, a bit of pea mush, and some faint caramelized kettlecorn. Pours a murky, clouded straw yellow, with rim in plain white. Flavor isn’t as offensive. Is it really possible to make a macro-saison? If so, this is it. It tastes like a bud-light, sprinkled ever so lightly with a smattering of yeasty spice and some hop resins. It’s kind of drinkable, but it’s also incredibly bland. The corn comes through way too heavily. I really don’t want to taste a can of creamed corn in with my Saison. The gimmicky labeling really turned me off, but I couldn’t turn down a chance to try a new Saison. For a macro-lager, this is pretty flavorful, for a Saison, this is an embarrassment to the style.

bottle from bockyhorsey... hazy straw yellow colored pour with a very short lived white head. weird... it smells a lot like cheap malt liquor... i wasn’t expecting that...lemon, yeast, dusty grain (kinda like the stuff you feed the livestock with) and honey aromas. the flavor is the same...ick. it is medium bodied and overly carbonated. after the bubbles settle there is an awful starchy artificial sugar to it. blech. this is an abomination to the saisons of the world. how do these guys brew this, call it a saison, market it and still sleep at night? 3/3/3/1/5/1.5

Bottled. Poured slightly hazy medium golden with a short-lived cap of white head. The aroma picked up some lemon rind and dusty wheat character over sweet pale malts.. very little actually going on here, but it was non-offensive. The flavor had the same dry wheat and pale malts at the core, picking up the slightest pinch of honey.. dry spices and a little lemon around.. dry wheat and tangy citrus on the finish. Light-bodied, dry, and fizzy on the palate.. really little going on in this one.

On the radio, they advertise as Milwaukee’s newest craft brewer. In the bottle, they are nothing more than an over hyped sham aimed at the younger non rate beer-ian population. Hopped up and Horny? Compared to what – triple hops brewed Miller Lite? And this one is a saison? Come on who are you trying to kid! What exactly is that goat hiding behind the barrel and what is there to expose? Well, not much. I think this is the lightest looking yellow beer I have seen in my life. It’s like water with a few drops of yellow dye #69 and a soapy white topper that fizzles back into the unexciting pool below. It smells a bit like toasted grains with some mild spice. I’m thinking they forgot to put in the beer ingredients, or perhaps used the same grains twice, sort of like when I make a fresh pot of coffee in the morning but forget to put in new grounds. It’s thin and light and hey it’s over carbonated too. It finished up nice and clean, but you’d expect that from the mildest of spiced waters available on the market. I’m patiently awaiting the release of their Shorts-beer, Braun ale, barely wine and, um, Dopplecock.

Pours a straw gold with small white head. Aroma of wheat, sprices, and ever so slight hops. Flavor is very light, best way to describe it would be water and yeast with a bit of wheat. This would easily take worst saison in the world for me.

This is a pretty poor example of a saison for the nearly $9 dollar price tag. The beer pours a cloudy, pale golden color with a di minimus head. The body is light on the palate and the flavor complex lingers only briefly. It drinks more like gatorade than anything else. I only detect a minor citrus flavor that other posts speak of. The wheat malt is the dominating flavor. try it if you like, but for the price, there are far superior saison style beers available in the area.

Wife boght this one for me. Decent aroma with some spiey notes but mainley burnt barley oats. Hazy gold body with white head. Flavor wasn’t hat bad had a zesty citrus to it along with some spice and carbination. A sweet spice dryness lingers a bit for aftertaste. Decent brew.
