Commercial Description:
Horny Goat Wheat is a Belgian-Style white beer, craft brewed with wheat, malted barley, hops and a bit of orange peel and coriander. It’s natural haze from yeast and wheat make it a classic to be enjoyed on its own, or with a slice of orange. Horny Goat Wheat loves big cans... those little 12 ounce bottles aren’t enough beer, and cans fully protect the beer from light and oxygen, producing a new level of fresh that you won’t find out of a bottle. Cans are also easier to recycle and better for the environment... as an ecologist if you don’t believe the brainiacs at Horny Goat.

Had this can for a while; over a year I think. I suspect it’s a lager, but could be wrong. I was kind of apprehensive about drinking it, but it’s really not that bad. Poured with a nice, foamy, frothy white head that mostly settled down to a thin layer with a little lace. Color is a clear shiny brass with a little bit of particles settling out. Aroma was a pleasant spicy Belgian wit. Flavor was a little less impressive with kind of a sweet soda pop cast. Body and carbonation are ok. Finish is like flavor and so not too great.

This is the worst wit I’ve had. Looks like a blonde ale. Tastes harsh and bitter. The name is worth a few points.

Can pours a very clear pale gold with quick fading, small effervescent white head. Nose is weak alcohol and Herbal Essence™ shampoo. Flavor is pretty shit fake corny sweet medicinal crap. I do like beers coming in a can, and cool name, but this beer is pretty bad.

Pours deep yellow with a big white head that dissapates to nothing. Maybe, and I say maybe some orange and corriander in the aroma, but less in the flavor. Its not really bad and very drinkable, but there is not much going on.

Another one of the many decent beers purchased at Woodman’s in Madison, WI. This is a highly drinkable but unmemorable beer, it’s the type of beer you drink to pass the time. There’s hints of coriander and clove in here, very unassuming beer that should be towards your last on a drunken night...the one you won’t remember but the one that’ll help you get tipsy.

Poured a hazy yellow with froathy white head that lasts. Aroma is faint: yeast, oranges, spices. Flavor watery oranges and corn. Not very good.

This one poured a cloudy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was wheaty, some citrus, and spices. Flavor was actually nice and spicey with some orange and citrus flavor. This is definately the best of the 3.

Taco Mac strikes again! Cloudy yellowish/gold color. Typical aroma of wheat and orangewith some light spice. Flavor is boring and really not that good. Seems hard to fuck up a wheat, but so many breweries do.
