This poured from the can a strange yellow color. It looked like orange juice with no head. The aroma was foul with some rotten lemons and corn. A hint of metal as well. The flavor tasted like swill with a hint of synthetic lemon juice and orange juice stirred in there. I don’t think Im feeling horny baby after this one. Overall this was the worst wit I’ve yet to try. Pass!

Oct 9, 2008 16oz can. Poured clear bright golden with about 1" of initial white head.. lots of rising carbonation. The aroma wasn’t bad with maize and banana sweetness accented by white pepper and a little orange zest.. sweet overall. The flavor was quite similar with sweet honey and pale malts at the core.. mild tangy wheat and orange zest at the edges.. picked up some dry peppery spicage for the finish.. just a touch sour right at the back. Lighter-bodied with a bit of syrupy texture on the palate.. not quite dry enough at the finish.. tangy tartness was close to metallic, but maintained its air of refreshment. Much better than it rates.

Sep 2, 2008 Pint can. Poured a hazy dark gold color with almost no head. Aroma was earthy with a subtle spice note. Flavor was seriously lacking. Slight orange hint with a little wheat, but a metallic flavor. Body was too light and carbonation was a little low.

Aug 26, 2008 Pint can, graciously given to me by csbosox. Pour is a very muddled orange ruby, with little to no head. Aroma of dirt, wheat and some very mild spiciness. Taste is artificial wheat, orange peel bitterness, spoiling vegetables and a weird metallic element I can’t quite identify. I guess what I am trying to say is that it doesn’t taste very good. Palate, what difference does it make, really. Thanks Chris? Reading your rating, I assume this was from the same four pack, what gives?

Aug 20, 2008 Initially poured a cloudy golden, bright yellow colour, but one the smoke cleared it turned back to a vibrant yellow. Head was large and aromatic. Semi sweet, and mildly wheaty. Mouthfeel was light, and sort of flat to be honest, taste was tolerable but metallicaly. I wouldn’t call this a belgian wit, more like an american wheat.

Aug 12, 2008 A belgian wit from City Brewery, this should be a treat. Hazy, dirty golden color. Moderate, big bubbled, off-white head. Aromas of grain, old oranges and some spent spices. Well that’s as good as it gets. Touch of wheat and grain in the start. Some circus peanut sweetness in the middle along with a bit of pickling spice. Rather dry finish. Some more old dried up orange flavor. A tough style that was not handled with much finesse.
