On cask @ EBF. Amber body with a big off-white head. Aroma is mal, caramel, fruit and a bit spicy. Flavor is malty, caramel, fruity, spicy with a bitter finish. Quite nice, but not really outstanding.

Cask@EBF2008. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is alcohol, peach, some mild grass and also quite fruity hops. Flavour is almost exactly the same. Wellbalanced strong ale. Some light spicyness is lurking in the background too.

Poured from a can, presumably straight from a barrel @ EBF 2008. Hint of cherry in the aroma, just a touch of spicyness. Oak, red berries and various nondescript spices (cardemom?) in the flavor. The comnplexity is there, but this beer is too spicy for my liking.

++Cask at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. ++ Clear orange-brown. Aroma of hay and toffee. Solidly malty with clean but chewy mouthfeel. Fairly relaxed (by EBF standards) with a vague touch of herbal spices and fair amounts of caramel. Growing late bitterness.
