Cloudy amber color thick solid white head. Faint hefeweizen yeast aroma. Crisp palate with citrus pumpin flavor but some musty yeastiness.

At De Heeren Van Liedekercke, bottle from 1989, 20 years old
Amber color, flat look. The aroma is very oxidized. No carbonation, sweetish caramel flavor, very light sourness (pleasant); the bitterness is gone, lightly liquorous. It’s surely over the top, too oxidized, but still interesting.

Zipps Fall 2008. Malt aroma. Medium sweet flavor with grain and yeast. Moderate hop dryness, but I don’t taste or smell any spice. No fruit character, which I expected. Still, good and very drinkable.

Weak head on a wooden brown transparent ale-like fluid. All kinds of yukky stuff floating around though. Fruit-beer sweetness in the aroma, on a typical Belgian beer background: yeasty sweetness. Bitter sweet with a nice effervence on the tongue. Leaves hints of the same fruit beer behind. Tastes sweet and fruity, with a round breadiness.

from crackedkettle.com - cloudy reddish-amber colour with a solid beige foam; aroma of almonds and red fruits; some dusty notes; very creamy mouthfeel, quite highly carbonated; a touch of acidity/sourness; fruity and dusty finish - interesting

Bottled (CK, BB 12/2009). Nut brown - amber hazy color, lots of floating yeast, small beige head. Peppery, caramel malty and fruity aroma, a bit dusty. Very foamy mouthfeel. Also thin and watery. Taste has mainly yeast powder, white pepper and iron. Tasty a bit like a home brew - as description says this is originally home brew. Useless.

Bottle at Take One, Maastricht. Dark orange with a thick fluffy off-white head. Nose is fruity and yeasty, with some cinnamon and pepper. Mouth is actually quite refreshing, fruity, some yeastiness still there, quite heavy tannin character, but drinkable. Easy to sip, and easy on the palate, leaves it fresh and lemony, peachy. Quite an easily drinkable beer.
