Orange body. Flavor is little burnt and there is some burnt sugar in it. Flavor is little bitter and malty as well. kappldav123 (1846), Markkleeberg, Germany

Tastes malty and strong, a little bit sweet also. Really a good beer! Quack-Duck (3218), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 12, 2007 bottle, thank you Shaney. Amber colour, large head, malty and hoppy aroma. Pleasantly bitter and hoppy from the start with an interesting and good malty base. Especially the finish is really lovely, lingering and with a very long aftertaste. jeverszeuge (183), Germany
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 6, 2007 well, this is one of the beer where it is really hard to find the correct style. the one i chose is the les wrong one. in fact it has amber colour and it is an ale-style. but this one is very different from he "bitter bier" from the same brewery. big and solid head.
hopsy smell and start. some bitterness, some smokey aromes. mid is hops-dominated but of the flowery kind. the finish has some malts which adds to the hops and makes a delicious and long end. garthicus (1289), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 30, 2007 Bottled 50cl. It pours a golden amber beer with a slightly tanned head. The nose is of caramel, straw and hops. Pretty sweet with a good malt character. The bitterness isn’t that overwhelming.... Caramel and hops in the taste. Lots of marmite too, which is untypical for a german beer. Some wheat is detectable aswell. Nicely balanced. The finish is dry grassy. Interesting. MesandSim (5851), London, Greater London, England

50cl bottle from the Bottle Shop in Bramhall. Deep deep dark red brown with a fairly chunky but short lived white head. Rather overpowering aroma of sweet malt, wheaty cereal and straw. Quite sickly malt in the flavour. Very wheaty in the finish. Pretty poor really but brightened up the train journey home from Manchester. HermanW (630), Coevorden, Netherlands
